In order to make our campus greener, I would like to suggest that our students are given the opportunity to buy and place their favourite plants during the UTM Plant Gift Week. During that week, students can make orders and place their plants around college or other campus areas other than for their personal use and will be taken care by the gardeners.
To ensure the smoothness of this programme, advertisement can be done before and during the week. Booths will be opened by the faculties in charge so that students can make the orders. A catalogue book also can be provided to facilitate students regarding the plant size and suggested areas to place the plants.
This programme requires complete cooperation and support from university as it might involves the changing of the university landscape.
