Hi,
I would like to give an idea of how to reduce the organic waste produced in UTM foodcourts/arcades or in all the colleges. It’s called biopore infiltration holes which basically digging in a 1 meter depth hole with diameter of 10 cm. Then a perforated PVC pipe will be put in to hold the soil so it wont collapse. and then it can be covered with perforated pipe lid. It can be applied to nearby arcades so every organic waste from food stalls can literally be thrown inside including bones, meat, and any other things that cant be usually thrown to normal compost pile. It can be also applied to colleges which students produced a lot of organic waste everyday from their lunch and dinner.
There are 2 main purpose of this hole: maintain or absorb rain water and also to reduce organic waste by composting it in the soil. You can choose whether wanna collect the compost after a few months or just leave it in the soil for the worms or any soil animals to decompose it naturally.
