I truly support working mothers especially single mothers who work for the family. At one hand, a working mother might need a job in order to support her husband. On the other hand, she also has a big responsibility to the husband and family at home.
We must not punish them if they come late to the office due to her main duty as a mother and most importantly as a wife.
In my opinion, the rules and regulation at UTM should be reviewed for this in order to show our humanity towards working mothers and fathers. For this, I appreciate if the management can consider flexi hour to the staff.
As we understand, our attendances also have been calculated/considered in eLNPT. With the implementation of flexi hour, it shows that the management take a good care of the wellbeing of the staff and shows their respect as well as humanity. Indirectly, this will increase staff satisfaction index and reduce the stress level. Just imagine a mother with 3 or 4 little kids managing alone the kids at home whilst the husband working somewhere else. It is not fair to punish the mother if she comes late to the office. Of course, there are many factors to be considered before the implementation. Probably this idea might not be suitable for critical post such as service counter, etc. However, the management can make a survey to get others’ perceptions view, consequence and sequel or consider all factors before making a decision. Thank you.
