Good day Team and Salam,

Whilst we have been inundated with so much of “Inovasi kreativiti”, which is largely due to UTM being a technology oriented institute, I would like to harness the fact that UTM is a Pioneer University in all ramifications in Malaysia, a trusted and viable brand in South East Asia and a shining beacon from the East to the west and all over the world.

After spending just about a few months in UTM, I have come to meet almost every race and colour of the world in UTM. Indeed UTM is a more than a UNIVERSE-in-a-CITY (University).

As you may have noticed,I have checked almost all the boxes for the area into which this idea falls to. It’s no mistake. It just emphasises the positive ripple effect this idea has as a whole.

To these ends, I am challenged to suggest to UTM to start an educational, profitable and value driven Business Reality Show called “THE APPRENTICE UTM” culled from the Global Franchise called “THE APPRENTICE” (which started from the USA, is now being adopted all over the globe, including Malaysia’s Tan Sri Tony Fernandes of Air Asia).

The main purpose of this idea is to instill the Business Acumen which cannot be “taught”, unfortunately, in the class room; but “caught” in real life experiences or simulations into the aptitude of our great technicians and scientist we have in UTM. There is a big gap in being an Inventor and Business oriented Inventor.

We cannot dissipate the fact that Bill Gates was a brilliant technocrat and scientist but we should not and cannot wave over the fact that he is a shrewd, street wise successful businessman.

UTM has all the minimum requirements to pull off this great and novel idea which I am more than willing to share for its execution after being involved with a Non Government Organisation back home in Nigeria that has successfully executed such programmes for 5 years in the most populous black nation in the world – Nigeria (The Kingdom Wealth Imperial Initiative – www.kwii.org)

I wish UTM a great success in all her endeavours.

Sincere regards

Ayo Sanwoolu
