I have a proposal for UTM generally and Advanced Informatics School (AIS) specifically to establish a new programme called Master of Software Engineering in Software Testing and Quality.
Looking at industries’ demand to have high quality software product and to have faster time to market it, it is crucial and essential to have professionals in this area. This programme will create opportunity for those software testing and quality practitioners out there to advance their career and knowledge.
Most importantly, this programme should be treated as industry-centric post-graduate programme which the content and substance should be a mix of academic knowledge and the actual implementation in the industries. Reference model can be based on how ‘the giant’ like Google do their testing.
Hope by doing this, it can be a starting point for doctoral degree specializing in testing.
